Preventative dental care is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your dental health. Preventative treatment includes regular checkups from a dentist familiar with the most up-to-date dental care. At Aurentz Family Dental, Dr. Keisha provides preventative dental care for adults and children.
Preventative dental treatment includes:
Dental cleanings and exams are the foundation of a healthy dental routine. During your exam, Dr. Keisha will look for signs of tooth decay and gum disease, and offer treatment options if you are experiencing any problems. We’ll work with each patient to make sure he or she is doing everything possible at home to maintain good dental health, and we’ll offer options if you are experiencing any problems that are out of the norm.
Having a healthy smile is about more than just your teeth. It’s also important to be aware of gum health and do what you can to keep your gums healthy. Your preventative dental visit will include an examination of your gums and guidance on how you can maintain or improve your periodontal health. Preventing and treating gum disease is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your dental health.
Protecting Your Smile
An important part of preventative care is correcting issues that can affect your dental health. If you are dealing with clenching, grinding, or TMJ issues, Dr. Keisha can provide recommendations for eliminating the problem. Our general dentistry services include the fabrication of night guards that can relieve many of the issues associated with chronic grinding.
We’ll also provide recommendations for those who participate in activities that put their smiles at risk. If you or your child is active in high-risk dental injury activities, we’ll give you tips for preventing injury and if necessary, create a custom athletic mouth guard to protect your teeth.
Your dental health is important to us. Whether you’re in need of a dental checkup and exam, or you are looking for ways to protect your dental health, we’re here for you. Contact Aurentz Family Dental to schedule your dental appointment.
We have been closely monitoring the updates regarding COVID-19 outbreak from the various state and federal entities. In light of the most recent recommendations, our office has made the very difficult decision to close our office to handle emergency visits only. Please allow us time to contact you if you had an appointment scheduled during this period in order to reschedule your appointment. At this time, we hope to be operating again by Wednesday, April 22nd, but realize this date may change as well.
During this closure, we will still have staff on hand at various intervals to handle true dental emergencies. Please know, this is an incredibly difficult decision for us to make, but we have to weigh the importance of your safety and the health and well-being of our team.
While we have never been through anything like this before, we are committed to moving forward with positivity and hope that “this too shall pass.” Keep smiling, stay positive and show kindness to one another as we navigate this storm together.
